At CSL we have been sharpening saw blades and other tools since 1993. Our service is second to none, utilising the latest CNC Saw Blade grinding technology from Vollmer, the renowned German machine manufacturer. We have invested in the latest 5 axis tool and cutter grinding technology to provide our customers with a premium quality sharpening service for all their carbide spiral tools and profile knives. For straight knives we use our MVM Knife Grinding machine We can sharpen any profile to exact tolerances. Profile Grinding provides a superior finish, ensuring the longest possible cutter life. We regrind all types of profile knives including Serrated, Universal and Indexable Carbide Knives. All our sharpening is performed under oil coolant, greatly extending sawblade and tool life. Every sawblade tip is sharpened on both the face and top, providing a superior long life edge.

Circular Saw Blade Sharpening

We sharpen more Circular Saw Blades than any other product. We grind the top and face of every tip, matching the original manufactures configuration. This guarantees an edge that is as sharp, and often sharper than the day the sawblade was manufactured.

Profile Knife Sharpening

With our 5 Axis tool & cutter grinder we regrind profile knives along the cutting edge, carefully matching the original profile. High Speed Steel Serrated Knives are the most popular, but we also sharpen a wide range of Universal Knives and Carbide Profile Knives.

Solid Carbide Spiral Sharpening

With the increasing popularity of CNC manufacturing for wood and plastic based products, Solid Carbide Spirals are becoming much more common in the modern workshop. We sharpen all types of spiral tools, including Roughing, Ballnose and Compression Spirals.

Brazed Tip Spindle Tool Sharpening

We sharpen a wide range of Brazed Tip Profile Tools in HSS and Carbide for Sawmills, Joiners and Kitchen Makers. All Profile tools are ground to tight tolerances, ensuring a sharp and well balanced result at the end of the sharpening process.

Planer Knives and Panel Irons

Straight knives are sharpened on our MVM straight knife grinder. We sharpen all types of straight knives including HSS and Carbide Planer Knives, Panel Irons for mulchers, Guillotine Blades and Reversable Planer Knives in HSS and Carbide.

Brazed Tip Router Cutter Sharpening

Brazed tip Router Cutters can be sharpened many times over the life of the tool. Router Cutters, both straight and profiled are normally carbide tipped and are sharpened on the face of the tool with a tool and cutter grinder
